It’s National Dairy Month! Are you curious as to why we celebrate National Dairy Month? Every June, The Nevada Dairy Farmers and Dairy Council of Nevada celebrates the contributions of dairy farmers and the dairy industry all over the United States. Over the last few decades, the dairy industry has made strides in reducing its carbon footprint by innovating its farming with sustainable practices and providing consumers with nutrient-dense, affordable food options.
To honor our favorite food group and the dedicated local farmers who produce it, we’re taking a trip down memory lane that may or may not include visitors from your favorite sitcoms, boy bands, and Saturday morning shows to give you the scoop on all things dairy. The Udderly Awesome 90s – Booyah!
A better decade than the nineties? As if! This fun-filled month has been stacked with visits from fan favorites like Sir Mix-A-Lot, Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibler on Full House), Will Friedle (Eric Matthews on Boy Meets World), and Chris Kirkpatrick from *Nsync to talk about their favorite ways to consume dairy. A special appearance from Daisy the Cow helped kick our most celebrated month off. The fun continues.
