Sugar Cookies

These cookies are soft, buttery and delicious. Perfect for any time of year, but especially during the holidays for Santa! Don’t forget to tag @nevadamilk when you make them at home.

Sugar Cookies


  • 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  • Mix together the flour, baking soda and baking powder in a small bowl
  • In a large bowl, beat the sugar and butter together until smooth
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  • Gradually blend in the flour mixture
  • Roll the dough out into one large sheet (for cookie cutters) or into small balls for round cookies.
  • Place cookies a couple of inches apart on ungreased baking sheets
  • Bake until golden, roughly 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Cool on the baking sheets for a couple of minutes before removing to a wire rack or plate to cool completely
