Sugar Cookies
These cookies are soft, buttery and delicious. Perfect for any time of year, but especially during the holidays for Santa! Don’t forget to tag @nevadamilk when you make them at home.
Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
- Mix together the flour, baking soda and baking powder in a small bowl
- In a large bowl, beat the sugar and butter together until smooth
- Beat in the egg and vanilla.
- Gradually blend in the flour mixture
- Roll the dough out into one large sheet (for cookie cutters) or into small balls for round cookies.
- Place cookies a couple of inches apart on ungreased baking sheets
- Bake until golden, roughly 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool on the baking sheets for a couple of minutes before removing to a wire rack or plate to cool completely
