Servings 2 people

  • 1 piece naan bread
  • 3 pieces fresh mozzarella cheese sliced to 1/2 inch thickness
  • 1 heirloom tomato (sliced thin) or cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 5-6 leaves fresh basil
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1.5 tbsp olive oil
  • 1.5 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Mix the garlic and oil together. Brush the naan bread with half of the mixture and then place in a pre-heated oven for five minutes.
  • Chop the basil leaves.
  • Remove the bread from the oven and then sprinkle with 1/4 of the basil leaves. Next top with three slices of mozzarella cheese, then the thinly sliced tomatoes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to your liking.
  • Place back in the oven for another five minutes. Then turn the broiler on and broil for 2-3 minutes. Watch it closely so it doesn't burn! Remove from oven.
  • Mix the remaining oil and garlic with the balsamic vinegar. Drizzle the mixture over the bread and sprinkle with the rest of the basil eaves.
