Frozen Hot Chocolate

This decadent, chocolate-y dessert takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, utilizes minimal equipment, and can be enjoyed year-round (especially if you’re ever in the mood to celebrate Christmas in July). It’s perfect as a party treat or personal late-night snack. Frozen Hot Chocolate

  • 3/4 cup hot chocolate mix
  • 3/4 cup chocolate ice cream
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 12 ice cubes
  • chocolate syrup for drizzling
  • whipped cream
  • Optional toppings: chocolate shavings, peppermint sprinkles, candy canes, etc.


  • Crush ice in a blender. Add in milk, chocolate ice cream, and hot chocolate mix. Blend until combined. Taste test mixture; add more milk, ice, ice cream, or hot chocolate mix until you reach your desired consistency and flavor.
  • Drizzle in a zig zag motion chocolate syrup along the inside rim of your serving cup. Pour mixture in, top with whipped cream and decorations, and enjoy!
