Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and lightly flour a cake pan and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently to combine.
  • Add milk, butter, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture.
  • Beat with an electric mixer on low speed or use whisk to combine. Add the egg and beat for 2 minutes more.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool the cake for 10 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan and serve with some sprinkled powdered sugar on top.
