Arroz con Leche

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 2 1/4 cups uncooked white rice
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 4 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 1/4 cups white sugar
  • 2 pinches ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, combine the water and the cinnamon stick and let it boil over high heat until the cinnamon stick releases its color and flavor. This step should take approximately 5 minutes.
  • Add the rice to the water mix, cover the saucepan, and turn the heat to low.
  • Cook the rice in the water until it is tender, and it has absorbed the water. This step should take about 15 minutes.
  • Once the rice is cooked, add the whole milk and evaporated milk gradually.
  • Add the sugar and stir. Leave the saucepan uncovered and cook until sugar is dissolved, and the mixture has thickened. This should take about 10 minutes.

Notes

You can serve this dessert warm or cold. Cool in the refrigerator until it has reached your desired temperature. Sprinkle each portion with ground cinnamon before serving and enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tazas de agua
  • 1/2 palito de canela
  • 2 1/4 tazas de arroz crudo
  • 4 tazas del leche evaporada
  • 4 tazas de leche entera
  • 1 1/4 tazas de azúcar blanca
  • 2 pizcas de canela molida

Instructions
 

  • Calienta el agua y el palito de canela en una cacerola a fuego alto y déjela hervir durante unos 5 minutos, o hasta que la canela suelte su color y sabor.
  • Agrega el arroz, baja a fuego lento y cubre la cacerola.
  • Cocina hasta que el arroz esté tierno y haya absorbido el agua. Este paso dura aproximadamente 15 minutos.
  • Vierte la leche entera y después la leche evaporada al arroz.
  • Agrega el azúcar y revuelve. Deja la cacerola descubierta y cocina hasta que el azúcar se disuelva y la mezcla se haya espesado. Este paso toma aproximadamente 10 minutos.

Notes

Puedes servir tu arroz con leche caliente o frío. Si deseas servirlo frío, déjalo en el refrigerador hasta que este haya alcanzado la temperatura deseada. Espolvorea con la canela molida antes de servir y ¡disfruta!
