Milk Safety
- Store at 38-40F degrees in the original container
- Place the milk carton away from the fridge door
- Keep the lid tightly closed
- Do not leave unrefrigerated for more than two hours

Milk Expiration Guide
- All milk once opened lasts 4-7 days past the expiration date
- Unopened whole milk lasts 5-7 days past the expiration date
- Unopened reduced fat and skim milk lasts 7 days past the expiration date
- Unopened non-fat and lactose free milk lasts 7-10 days past the expiration date

Freezing Milk
- Pour some milk out of the container to make room for expansion during freezing
- You can freeze milk for up to 3 months
- Thaw in the refrigerator
- Separation of fat from the milk is normal, shake to mix
- Use the milk within 5 days of thawing
