Mix all the ingredients (except the cornstarch) in a pot over low heat and let it boil.
Stir the ingredients consistently with a wooden spoon until it reaches a temperature of 240°F and the mixture is smooth. This should take approximately an hour.
Once it has reached the desired temperature, remove the pan from the stove and take out the cinnamon stick.
Stir vigorously until the mixture is cool and has thickened.
Coat your hands with cornstarch to shape the candy to your desired shape and let it cool in the refrigerator.
Once they have hardened, they are ready to eat. Enjoy!
