Milk Candies (English)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (12 fl oz) evaporated milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • Mix all the ingredients (except the cornstarch) in a pot over low heat and let it boil.
  • Stir the ingredients consistently with a wooden spoon until it reaches a temperature of 240°F and the mixture is smooth. This should take approximately an hour.
  • Once it has reached the desired temperature, remove the pan from the stove and take out the cinnamon stick.
  • Stir vigorously until the mixture is cool and has thickened.
  • Coat your hands with cornstarch to shape the candy to your desired shape and let it cool in the refrigerator.
  • Once they have hardened, they are ready to eat. Enjoy!
